TARGET AUDIENCE PROFILE

Our target audience are both male and female who are between the ages of 16-35. They are both in higher education, studying a range of different subjects such as; Psychology, Business studies, English and Media studies. These are such subjects that will develop their creative side and ones that consists of research and gaining knowledge of the outer world. Audiences of 16-23 will most likely in a part time job within the retail reign as they enjoy gaining contact with other people to develop their socialising skills. Those 18+ will be attending University further continuing with a subject that stimulates their creativity but they also hope to gain a career that will keep them financially stable as well as have a passion for what they do.

The persona of our target audience is; popular, friendly and fashionable. She loves going out with her friends whether to get something to eat, shopping or to the cinema to watch the latest horror or comedy film. There is always something to share with her friends so gossiping is always done to keep up with the other students in school. It makes her feel relatable. Helping others with their problems is something she loves to do because she is one to make sure that the people that surround her are happy and feel at their best. Our female audience loves to have fun but always keeps her head to her the books; in other words her education is important to her so tries hard in school to get the best grades possible. She takes pride on spending time with her family to keep her grounded and humble. In comparison our male audience is charming and flirtatious. He uses his sense of humour to win over the attention of his female attraction and at times finds himself in trouble with adults due to his humour but it does not stop him. Our male audience will have a tight circle of friends which consists of boys and girls; this group have diverse taste and personality but they all find a common ground which is what keeps their friendship close. He does put himself above other, he sees everyone as equal due to this he is open minded and is open to meeting new people who will have a positive effect on him to teach him new things.

For the older audience, they feel ready to find someone to settle down with to marry and start a family.  The female is not in a rush but instead easy going because she does not want to settle for someone she doesn’t really feel for. She shares a flat with a fellow friend who is not as organised as she is, so the frustration is a high. This motivates her to want to find someone to be in a relationship with so she can move out. She enjoys reading and writing; her favourite play is ‘A streetcar Named Desire’. She dresses appropriately for age as fashion is something that she keeps herself updated on regularly; she has a few vintage pieces her wardrobe that she highly admires. The make spends a lot of time at work and if not that then he will be found in a gym because he takes pride in his health and keeping fit taking tips from one of his favourite magazines ‘Men’s Health’ helps him with it. He lives alone so he enjoys inviting friends over for some beers and friendly banter, they occasionally go out to bars and clubs it’s not a habit. He has a fascination with film; his favourite genre is horror with his favourite film being ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ and most recently ‘The Conjuring’. He acknowledges the influence of the legendary ‘Psycho’ by Alfred Hitchcock. Other than horror he enjoys watching films in the genre of thriller/crime therefore resulting to his favourite film being ‘Pulp Fiction’ by his much-loved director Quentin Tarentino.
